The Incheon Airport Railroad: Your Direct Link to the City
The AREX is a fast, convenient train service that connects Incheon Airport to downtown Seoul and beyond. It’s a fantastic option, whether you're heading straight into the city or planning to explore some of the surrounding areas.
Key Details You Need to Know:
Two Terminals, Same Great Service: AREX serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Each terminal has its own Transportation Center located on level B1. Look for the signs!
Pick Your Train: You’ve got options! There are all-stop trains for those who want a more local experience and express trains that whisk you directly to Seoul. There is even a maglev train, which is pretty cool if you haven't tried one of those.
Route & Stops: The AREX route starts at Terminal 2 and passes through Terminal 1, then goes to various locations including the Airport Cargo Terminal, Unseo, Yeongjong, Cheongna International City, Geomam, Incheon, Gyeyang, Gimpo Airport and even into the heart of Seoul (Seoul Station). Plenty of stops to choose from depending on where you need to go.
Departure Times: I have included the departure times of when the train leaves each station to the next one. Starting from Terminal 2(6 minutes), Terminal 1 (10 minutes), Airport Cargo Terminal (14 minutes), Unseo (18 minutes), Yeongjong (27 minutes), Cheongna International City (31 minutes), Geomam (37 minutes), Incheon (44 minutes), Gyeyang (47 minutes), Gimpo Airport (54 minutes), Magoknaru (58 minutes), Digital Media City (62 minutes), Hongik University (66 minutes).
Connecting Lines: AREX has great connections to several subway lines (Lines 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 9), and also to the Gyeongui, Jungang, Gimpo Goldline, Seohae, and KTX lines! This makes onward travel super convenient once you reach the city.

Luggage Hassle? Not Here! Introducing "T-Luggage" and "T-Locker"
Let’s be honest; dragging heavy bags around is no fun. Thankfully, Incheon Airport (and Seoul Metro) have you covered with two fantastic luggage services:
T-Luggage: Door-to-Airport, or Station to Station (almost!) This service lets you have your luggage delivered between subway stations and the airport! You can either make a reservation online or register onsite. Check out the T-Luggage desks:
Incheon Airport Terminal 1: 3rd floor, general area, opposite the B check-in counters.
Incheon Airport Terminal 2: 3rd floor, general area, opposite the H check-in counters.
For Seoul stations that have a manned service: Seoul Station (B1), Hongik University Station (B1), Myeongdong Station (B1) and Gimpo Airport Station (B1).
Important bits: You can only do airport delivery from the on-site locations and if you are delivering to a station from the airport or vice versa, it does need to have large lockers. Also, T-Luggage only supports Lines 1 to 9 operated by Seoul Transportation Corporation.
T-Locker: Unattended Storage at Your Fingertips. These are unmanned lockers at various subway stations around Seoul. Perfect for those times when you need to stash your bags temporarily so you can explore the city hands-free!
Use the T-Locker APP to book in advance, or pay at the locker kiosk. There are over 5,000 lockers at 332 different subway stations, so you are never far from one!
